The Role: TIG Welder
We are currently recruiting for an experienced TIG Welder to join a growing manufacturing business in a permanent, full-time position. This role is ideal for a skilled TIG Welder with a strong background in stainless steel sheet metal fabrication who takes pride in producing high-quality, precision work.
Based on-site, this permanent TIG Welder position offers long-term stability, excellent earning potential, and the opportunity to work as part of a close-knit and supportive production team. The business operates within a specialist manufacturing environment, delivering high-quality fabricated components and continuing to invest in both people and equipment.
Main Responsibilities:
* Carry out high-quality TIG welding on stainless steel sheet metal components
* Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal products in line with engineering drawings
* Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with standards
* Work closely with the production team to meet daily and weekly deadlines
* Identify, report, and support the resolution of production or quality issues
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
* Adhere to all company health & safety and quality procedures
Skills / Experience:
* Proven experience working as a TIG Welder within a fabrication or manufacturing environment
* Strong TIG welding experience on stainless steel (essential)
* Ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings
* Competent using fabrication machinery and hand tools
* Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on quality
* Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Desirable:
* Experience with MIG welding
* Experience working with aluminium or mild steel
* Apprenticeship or relevant engineering qualification
Salary & Working Hours:
* Salary: £44,460 per annum
* Working Hours: Monday to Thursday: 7:00am €“ 5:00pm, Friday: Early finish
* Employment Type: Temporary to Permanent, Full-time
